A new study covers "harm" as anything from physical injury to property damage, and much in between.

Bill Roberts of the Brazos Valley Council on Alcohol and Substance Abuse joined First News at Four to discuss this issue on the eve of the Fourth of July, a holiday sometimes associated with parties involving alcohol.

"Surround yourself with friends and family who help keep you in check," said Roberts. "Make a plan not to put yourself in situations that could turn harmful for someone."
