COLLEGE STATION, Tex. (KBTX) - College Station police made an arrest after a theft at a Post Oak Mall jewelry store last summer.

Authorities say Jorge Contreras, 27, was arrested Tuesday. A second suspect, Michael Loy, was taken into custody last July.

According to police, the two went to the Gold N Diamonds kiosk in the mall and asked to look at several items.

After negotiating the price down to about $1,600, the pair tried to use a credit card. When it was declined, they ran off with the merchandise.
