HUNTSVILLE, Tex. (KBTX) - New details have been released in a murder investigation regarding skeletal remains found near Huntsville High School in September.

Manuel Zamora, 20, and Abner Portillo, 17, were arrested and charged with murder.

Three other people -- Gerson Cabrera, Bryan Cabrera and Eduardo Mondragon -- have been arrested in connection to the murder. Gerson Cabrera is in the Walker County jail, while the other two are in custody in Virginia awaiting extradition on murder charges.

A sixth person, Huntsville man Giovanny Villatoro, is still wanted.

A probable cause statement released Friday says that during an interview with police on October 6, Portillo confessed he assisted several other MS-13 members with killing the victim by strangling him, by stabbing him, and by setting him on fire.

Zamora was arrested and taken to the Walker County Jail on October 7.

In September, authorities found the remains in a wooded area on Grivich Drive, not far from Huntsville High School.

Huntsville Police tell KBTX they are still waiting on lab tests to positively identify the remains.

They were taken to Sam Houston State's Southeast Texas Applied Forensic Science Facility.
