DAYTONA BEACH, Florida (KBTX) - The Texas A&M Cheer Squad took home top honors at this past weekend's NCA National Championships in Daytona Beach, Florida.
The Aggies took down 13 teams at the championships, including the likes of Florida, Georgia Southern and Old Dominion.
"We're really happy to have this national title under our belt," said team president Jenny Kaufman. "We love the sport of competitive cheerleading and right now we're just happy to continue doing that."
Founded in 2001, this year's title marks the first championship for the program.
