Texas A&M student opens donut food trailer
Taylor Laney could not say no when she had an opportunity to buy a food trailer from one of her former bosses. Now, as a twenty-year-old college student, she is the proud owner of Donut Darlin'.
Laney is a junior at Texas A&M University and is majoring in construction science.
"Really, my passion is just owning my own business and working for myself and setting an example for young entrepreneurs," explained Laney. Donut Darlin' serves up mini donuts and coffee. The mini donuts are sold by the dozen and half-dozen.
She has several staple flavors that are always available.
The Plain Jane is a plain vanilla cake donut. Eskimo Bites are vanilla cake donuts with powdered sugar. Sandy Beach is a vanilla cake donut with cinnamon sugar. Sprinkles are for Winners are donuts with chocolate or vanilla icing and sprinkles. She also has seasonal and custom flavors.
When Wayside Food Park opens in College Station, Laney will set up shop there. Until then, she is going to be set up at several community events throughout the Brazos Valley.
She also does private parties and weddings.
