BRYAN, Tex. (KBTX) - Every year, the Annie E. Casey Foundation releases a report showing the latest data on child welfare in the United States.
For 2017 data, the latest available, Texas ranks near the bottom among states, at 41.
Joanna Lahey is a professor at the Texas A&M Bush School of Government and Public Service with her Ph.D. in economics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. She joined First News at Four to provide perspective on the data, and how Texas can be doing better for its children.
