Thorndale Baseball helps Franklin with tornado clean-up
A Central Texas baseball team is helping storm survivors.
The Thorndale High School Baseball team took the day off to volunteer in Robertson County Wednesday. Players, coaches and even their principal made their way around the damaged areas in Franklin to help clear debris like tree branches.
"Well, I'm from Franklin and we're a small community over in Thorndale, so they understand what the needs are in a small community when it gets hit like this. We just thought we'd be able to help out," said Kalyn Paceley, a Thorndale High School Math Teacher and Coach.
Their school gave them a day off to help out. They also partnered with volunteers working on relief efforts out of the First Baptist Church in Franklin.
