Three tornadoes confirmed in Houston County Saturday

WECHES, Tex. (KBTX) - The National Weather Service has confirmed three tornadoes touched down in Houston County during Saturday's severe weather that left a trail of damage across the Brazos Valley.

While one storm was carrying an EF-3 tornado through Robertson and Leon Counties Saturday, others formed across parts of Madison and Houston Counties shortly after the noon hour.

After conducting storm surveys, the weather service has confirmed multiple tornadoes in Houston County. Below are the findings:

Tornado #1 - Weches Tornado
Strength: EF-3
Length: 6.9 miles
Width: 880 yards
One fatality was reported from this tornado. Houston County officials say they found the body of a woman about 150 yards from her home Saturday. The woman has not been identified.

Tornado #2 - Lovelady Tornado
Strength: Ef-2
Length: 3.8 miles
Width: 100 yards
No injuries or fatalities were reported.

Tornado #3 - Ratcliff Tornado
Strength: Ef-1
Length: 8.4 miles
Width: 75 yards
Four residents were reported injured after the tornado badly damaged parts of the community.
