The rotation was indicated just after 2:00 p.m. as the storm moved from the Snook community across the Brazos River into College Station and southern Brazos County.
Students and staff across Bryan ISD, College Station ISD, and Texas A&M University were told to shelter in place until the threat passed.
Robert Ream was in the Wellborn community when he was able to capture what appears to be a tornado on his cell phone.
Chief Meteorologist Shel Winkley says there was also a report of a tornado along FM 60 closer to the Brazos River. It's unclear if that tornado is the same that was spotted near Easterwood Airport.
No significant damage or injuries have been reported.
