A fire broke out Monday inside of ASCO Equipment, a construction warehouse off of North Earl Rudder Freeway and Tabor Road.

Large clouds of smoke could be seen by drivers on Highway 6 Monday afternoon.

"A crew arrived on scene and found a tractor on fire in one of the stalls in the warehouse," said Brian Casto, Bryan Battalion Chief.

Fire departments were alerted by the warehouse's alarm system.

Casto says that it took fire fighters ten or twelve minutes to put out the flames after they arrived on scene.

No one was injured as no one was inside the warehouse when the fire erupted.

The tractor was destroyed as a result of the fire.

The remaining equipment within the warehouse received only minimal damage from the smoke.

The cause of the tractor fire is unclear at this time, but an investigation is underway.
