BRYAN, Tex. (KBTX) - The 12th Annual Salvation Army Mayor Ring-off is Saturday, pitting the mayors of Bryan and College Station against each other to raise money for the local Salvation Army.
The ring-off runs from noon until 1:00 p.m.
At the College Station Walmart, the Aggie Band, the 12th Man Bus, CS Lions Club, and others will be out to support their mayor, Karl Mooney.
At the Walmart on Briarcrest Drive in Bryan. The City of Bryan likely bring out the fire, police, and city council with Mayor Andrew Nelson.
The one hour of ringing brought in $3,800 last year.
This year, the public will have the ability to give online to their mayors kettle. The public can start giving now through Sunday night.
Anyone can go to donate online. Visit the Salvation Army's website in the related links section. Click on “Mayor Ring Off” to give. The amounts collected online will count toward the mayors total.
