Last week, a class at Texas A&M University presented local nonprofits with $72,000 in checks.
The class, called Strategic Philanthropy, empowers students with the resources and funding to give back to their local community.
According the Mays Business School, the class is the most successful of its kind across the nation.
In less than 5 years, the class has given more than a half million dollars to local nonprofit organizations.
