Two-vehicle accident causes traffic on Highway 6

COLLEGE STATION, Tex. (KBTX) - One person was hurt Wednesday morning after a two vehicle accident on Highway 6 near Southwest Parkway.

The crash happened around 7:30 a.m. in the northbound lanes and forced officials to close down one lane of traffic from Emerald Pkwy to Southwest Pkwy.

According to police, a truck and Mini Cooper collided after one of the vehicles spun out of control. Both vehicles landed in the grassy median.

One of the drivers was injured and was being treated on scene. The nature of the crash is still under investigation.
