BRYAN, Tex. (KBTX) - This week on Weekend Gardener, Jayla Fry with AgriLife Extension is encouraging people to try some new seasonal foods.
On Friday, Fry appeared on Brazos Valley This Morning with grapefruit, pomegranates, beets, an acorn squash, and a winter melon. She says these are just a small example of things that can be grown and harvested in the fall.
Texas pecans are also ready for harvest. The Horticulture Club at Texas A&M is selling pecans on Friday, Nov. 9 from Noon - 5 p.m. at the back of the Horticulture Building. They have halves and pieces and chocolate dipped pecans for sale.
