Polls opened Tuesday at 7:00 a.m. for those who waited to cast their ballot on Election Day.

Voter turnout has already been impressive so far this year. In Brazos county, more than 40,000 people cast a ballot in early voting.

An extra 10,000 registered since the last primary, so poll workers expect a busy day.

Don't forget your government issued ID. You can use things like a concealed carry license to cast your ballot. If you don't have one on hand, you can bring something like a utility bill to vote.

Polls close at 7:00 p.m., but if you're still in line and haven't had the chance to vote yet, don't leave. Poll workers will stay until everyone has had the chance to vote.

Uber and Lyft are offering discounts if you need help getting to the polls. Use code VOTE2018 for $10 off your Uber bill, or VOTETX1 for 50% off your Lyft ride.
