In trending news this morning, a Millennial-themed event sparks criticism, and a Build-a-Bear promotion gets out of paw.
First up, a recent social media post by the Montgomery Biscuits Minor League baseball team in Alabama has some people firing back online. The post promotes the team's first millennial night, saying "Want free things, without doing much work?"
It highlights selfie stations and napping areas. A spokesperson for the Biscuits says offending people was not the intentions of the post. Instead, it is their way to point out cliché millennial things to attract people out to the stadium in a fun way.
Also trending, a special one-day promotion at Build-a-Bears around the country quickly got out of hand Thursday. Children paid their age for stuffed animals that can cost more than $30.
By midday, the crowds were so big the company pulled the plug. They're now offering vouchers to all rewards members.
