Grilled Shrimp Tacos


Shrimp Marinade: 

  • 6-7 lg Shrimp – peeled & deveined
  • 1 tsp  Minced Garlic

  • ½  Serrano Pepper - diced

  • 1 tbsp Beer

  • Squeeze of Lime Juice

  • Salt & Pepper to taste 


  • Red Cabbage - sliced

  • White Cabbage - sliced

  • Sliced Red Onion

  • Squeeze of Lime Juice

  • Jiccama – sliced

  • Salt & Pepper to taste

  • Olive Oil

  • Vinegar


For Homemade Corn Tortillas: 

Maseca (Corn Flour) available at area grocery stores – prepare according to package instructions.  Use tortilla press to create tortillas.  Cook tortillas on a comal or non-stick skillet until nice and golden brown. 

Toss shrimp in marinade to cover.  Place shrimp on grill.  Once grilled, put shrimp in melted butter to coat. 

Assemble the Shrimp Tortillas with tortilla, slaw mixture, and grilled shrimp. Optional items would include green chili sour cream, pico de gallo, avocado slices, cilantro, cotija cheese and refried beans.
