ATHENS, Ga. – Texas A&M Softball takes its seven-game winning streak on the road for a Southeastern Conference series against No. 12 Georgia beginning Friday at 5 p.m.
All games can be seen on SEC Network +, with Saturday’s contest scheduled for a 1 p.m. start while game three is slated for a 1 p.m. start on Sunday. Kaleb Frady (play-by-play) and Karlie Smith (color) are on call for Friday and Saturday’s contest as Natalie Kerns (color) steps in on Sunday.

Texas A&M enters the weekend on a seven-game winning streak and holds a 23-13 (2-7 SEC) record. Offensively, Payton McBride holds an eight-game hitting streak and tops the team in batting average (.391) and RBI (26). During her hitting streak, the junior is batting .591 (13-for-22) with two homers, a double and seven RBI. Kelbi Fortenberry dons a .373 season batting average and is the team leader in hits (44), runs (27) and stolen bases (10).
Kendall Potts paces the pitching staff with nine wins. McBride has tallied eight wins as Kayla Poynter has added four and Hannah Mayo has recorded three.
Poynter returns to her home state for the first time as the sophomore hails from Loganville, Ga., which is approximately 40 miles from Athens.
For the season, Georgia (28-10, 3-6 SEC) is led offensively by Alyssa DiCarlo and Lacey Fincher, who are batting .420 and .389, respectively. Dicarlo powers the offense with 19 home runs and 48 RBI. Mary Wilson Avant holds an 8-3 ledger in the circle with a 2.42 ERA.
Georgia leads the all-time series 12-5 and is 4-0 against Texas A&M in Athens. The two teams previously met in 2017 with the Aggies sweeping the Bulldogs by a combined score of 13-3 in College Station.
