COLLEGE STATION, Texas (KBTX) – The Aggie football team has reached the final week of spring practice.
After today they will practice two more times then play the Spring Game on Saturday.
One of the predicted positions of strength for the team this season will be the defensive line, and a big reason for that is freshman Bobby Brown who played in 12 games made 14 tackles his first season on campus.
He is used to Texas A&M traditions now, but his first trip to campus as junior in high school is one he'll never forget.
Brown said, "Very first game I came to I didn't know they stood the whole game. I'm sitting down and this old lady taps me with her cane and says, "What are you doing son? Stand up." I was like yes ma'am. I didn't know. I was sitting there on my phone. I sat back down and then she tapped me again and said, "I'm not going to tell you again, you better get up." I said yes ma'am, I'm sorry."
Brown hopes to get to do a lot of standing at games this year on the field as he chases down opposing quarterbacks.
