COLLEGE STATION, Texas – The Texas A&M football team held their third practice of preseason camp on Saturday. It lasted for about two hours. It was the team's first practice in shoulder pads during preseason camp.

After practice Texas A&M head coach Jimbo Fisher met with the media and talked about the team putting on shoulder pads. Fisher said, "You are doing everything but cutting each other. You are banging getting blocked. You can actually see guys get blocked up front or guys making a block or getting off a block so you can see a remnants of football." Fisher added, "When we get in heavy pads we don't go to the ground, we don't want to be on the ground so it's very close to what you are normally getting."

Fisher also said after practice that wide receiver Kendrick Rogers did not practice today because he has a lower leg injury and is in a boot but feels he will be all right.

The Aggies are scheduled to practice again on Sunday. The team will practice in full pads for the first time during preseason camp on Monday.
