JACKSONVILLE, Florida -- The Texas A&M football team held their second bowl practice in Jacksonville on Thursday as they prepare to face North Carolina State in the Gator Bowl on December 31.
The Aggies will be playing a bowl game in the state of Florida for the first time since 1957. That year the Aggies faced Tennessee in the Gator Bowl.
The game also marks the return of Jimbo Fisher to the Sunshine State. Fisher left Florida State to become the head coach at Texas A&M. His players would like to get a win over NC State to cap off Fisher's debut season in Aggieland on a high note.
The Gator Bowl is scheduled to kickoff at 6:30 December 31 at TIAA Bank Field. The game will be televised on ESPN.
