Alpha Omega reaches state title game with comeback win over New Braunfels Christian

BRYAN, Texas (KBTX) -- Huntsville Alpha Omega is on to the TAPPS 6-Man Division II state championship game after beating New Braunfels Christian 58-57 at Allen Academy's Baker Field Friday afternoon.

The Lions trailed 37-22 at the half but a 57-yard Vanya Benson touchdown run with 3:36 to play gave them the lead for good.

Alpha Omega will face unbeaten Bulverde Bracken Christian, a 62-24 winner over Watauga Harvest today, for the state championship Thursday at 11 a.m. at Waco Midway's Panther Stadium.
