Bamburg named Iola ISD's new head football coach

BRYAN, Texas (KBTX) -- The Iola Bulldogs have a new head football coach. Iola ISD announcing today that Kerry Bamburg has been officially cleared to come on board.

Bamburg comes to Iola from Aldine ISD. He was the head coach at Eisenhower for five seasons from 20-13 to 20-17. He won the district championshp in 2015 and qualified for the playoffs during 3 of those five seasons.

During his 23 seasons coaching football Coach Bam has made stops at Caney Creek, North Forest and Aldine before going to Eisenhower in 20-13.

Coach Bamburg is no stranger to the Iola area. His parents live in nearby Keith, so he's got two big fans awaiting his arrival.
