BRYAN, Texas -- The Brazos Valley Bombers are excited to announce the addition of Alex Nielsen and Cody Creed to the 2018 Brazos Valley Bombers roster.

Alex Nielsen is a Junior Infielder for Southeast Missouri, who is in his first year at the club after spending two seasons with Garden City Community College. While at Garden City, Nielsen carried the offensive load for the club, leading the team in batting average, hits, and doubles. This was supplemented by his power and speed combo as he also added eight home runs and 56 RBIs plus nine stolen bases. He brought that speed/power combination with him from Westside High School, where he hit .437 as a senior.

Cody Creed is a right-handed pitcher for Southeast Missouri, who previously pitched at Jefferson College. While at Jefferson, Creed was dominant as a starting pitcher, leading the club with 87 strikeouts in just 71 innings of work. Last season, he went 7-2 with a 2.76 ERA, including four complete games and two shutouts. Creed has continued to miss bats out of the Redhawks bullpen, recording just under a strikeout an inning for the club in 2018.
