Bryan, College Station, Rudder all advance to Aggieland Invitational quarterfinals

Three Bryan/College Station schools picked up a pair of wins on the first day of the Aggieland Invitational girls high school basketball tournament.

Bryan beat Mayde Creek 70-44 and Humble 78-68. The Lady Vikings will face Copperas Cove Wednesday at 12:30 p.m. at Bryan High.

College Station got past Huntsville 66-22 and Denton 64-42 to advace to face Oak Ridge in the quarterfinals at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday at Cougar Gym.

Rudder knocked off Splendora 79-40 in the first round and Clear Creek 63-59 in the second round to advance to the quarterfinals. The Lady Rangers will face Rockwall at Bryan's Viking Gym.

A&M Consolidated beat Kingwood Park 32-19 in the first round but fell 43-34 to Hays in the second round. The Lady Tigers will face Houston Homeschool in the quarterfinals of the Silver Bracket at 11 a.m. at Bryan High.
