BRYAN, Texas -- The Bryan football team will face Cy Ranch Friday night in a district 14-6A game at Merrill Green Stadium. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:00 P.M.
Cy Ranch is 8-0 on the season and ranked number 9 in this week's Class 6A poll. Bryan is 4-4 on the season and 3-3 in district play. The Vikings need to beat Cy Ranch to keep their playoff hopes alive.
Bryan leads district 14-6A in team defense giving up 197 yards per game. The Vikings have allowed under 14 points per game this season. To get a win over Cy Ranch the Vikings will need another solid effort on defense. The Bryan offense will need to be good as well. Viking head coach Ross Rogers said, "Execute and make plays when you get a chance. I have said that all along." Rogers added, "It's not that we're that bad because at times we look like we could be pretty good. We just haven't put it all together, maybe a quarter or maybe a quarter and a half but we need to play four quarters that way."
Friday's matchup with Cy Ranch will be the final regular season home game for Bryan. The Vikings will close out the regular season November 8 against Cy Woods at Pridgeon Stadium in Houston.
