Wednesday morning Bryan High School Boys' Head Basketball Coach Chris Jones announced that four year letter man Zach Nutall was signing his national letter of intent with Sam Houston State University.

Zach helped the Vikings advance to the Class 5A Regional Tournament this year. He was the District 18-5A Offensive MVP and named to two separate Academic All State teams.

Nutall believes his dreams of reaching the NBA runs through Huntsville and is thrilled to be able to play close to home where the Viking faithful will still have a chance to watch him play.

"It has meant so much. Just the support at the games that they have been here and on social media. Parents here saying, 'They are proud of you, you are doing great, keep it up' said Nutall.

"I really give a lot to the city of Bryan and I'm looking forward to it continuing as well," added Nutall.

Zach plans on pursuing a degree in occupational therapy at Sam Houston State and said that is something to fall back on after he stops dribbling a basketball which he hopes is eventually in the NBA.
