CSCAA Names 22 Aggies to its All-America Team

NORFOLK, Va. – Twenty-two Texas A&M swimmers and divers received Scholar All-America recognition from the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA).

Eleven aggies received first-team Scholar All-America honors, which requires a grade point average of 3.50 or higher and for the student-athlete to have participated at the NCAA Championships during the 2018-19 season. Earning first team honors were Clayton Bobo, McKenna DeBever, Raena Eldridge, Monika Gonzalez-Hermosillo, Adam Koster, Kylie Powers, Steven Richardson, Golf Sapianchai, Camryn Toney, Benjamin Walker and Haley Yelle.

An additional 11 Aggies achieved honorable mention Scholar All-America status, which similarly requires a GPA of 3.50 and for the student-athlete to have achieved an NCAA “B” time standard or competed at a regional or zone qualifying meet. Earning honorable mention honors were Haley Allen, Kaley Batten, Karling Hemstreet, Connor Long, Sara Metzsch, Katie Portz, Felipe Rizzo, Victoria Roubique, Mark Schnippenkoetter, Sam Siebenaller and Hudson Smith.

In total, the CSCAA recognized 1,221 swimmers and divers to their Scholar All-America team, while 890 students-athletes received honorable mention. The Southeastern Conference led all conferences with 127 first-team selections and 218 student-athletes in total.
