D'Asia White making history at Anderson-Shiro Thursday

BRYAN, Texas (KBTX) -- Anderson-Shiro Lady Owls Head Basketball Coach Randy Foy announced that D'Asia White was making history Thursday afternoon by being the first female basketball player in school history to sign a national letter of intent to play college basketball at a four year school.

D'Asia was the District 23-3A Most Valuable Player and was an All Region selection this past season. She averaged 12 points per game.

White says she's looking forward to playing with the Hawks in Abilene and plans on pursuing a degree in Sports Medicine.
