Former Texas A&M All-American Bhosale Top-Ranked Doubles Player from India

COLLEGE STATION – Former Texas A&M women’s tennis All-American Rutuja Bhosale maintained her top-200 ranking to earn the highest doubles ranking of all professionals from India.

After returning from an injury in 2018, Bhosale has won 16-of-23 doubles matches in 2019 to attain her career-best doubles ranking of 181 in May. In the latest rankings released on July 1 the Pune, India native dipped to 187 in the world. In 2019, Bhosale captured the Namangan Combined ITF World Tennis Tour Event title and advanced to the finals at Singapore ITF Women’s 25K and Yokohama Keio Challenger.

While in Aggieland, Bhosale and partner Rachel Pierson became the first Texas A&M duo to earn doubles All-America honors in program history as the pair finished the 2017 season ranked a program-best No. 9 in the final ITA doubles rankings.
