Four Brazos Valley players on magazine cover

Navasota's Jordan Jefferson and A&M Consolidated's Brian Darby, Nate Floyd and Devin Price will be on the cover of the 2019 KBTX Friday Football Fever Magazine. The players took part in a photo shoot for the cover Tuesday at A&M Consolidated High School. They put in plenty of work with over 150 photo taken. After the shoot Jefferson said, "It was crazy. I never knew that being a model was so hard. It's different but it was fun. I had fun." When asked about a future modeling career Price said, "No I am going to stick with football."

The day was not all smiles for the players as photographers looked to create the perfect shot for the cover. For Darby it can be tough to be tough off the field. Darby said, "They tried to make me do an intimidating face but you know that's not me unless I'm on the field. I am different person on the field and off the field. On the field I'm that guy talking trash to everybody trying to get my teammates in there. Off the field I'm a fun guy."

Floyd has already caught the attention of college programs and is being recruited by some power five programs but being on the cover of the Friday Football Fever magazine was not something he expected. Floyd said, "Last year I saw our defensive tackle Josh Ellison and then the year before that I saw safety Kolby Peel so I knew one of us was going to have the chosen. I was glad that actually all three of us got picked."

Darby has already committed to Oklahoma. Price has not committed to a school yet but does have offers from power five programs. Jefferson has committed to Texas A&M.

The KBTX Friday Football Fever magazine is scheduled to be released in the middle of August.
