WHAT THEY SAID

Head Coach Jo Evans

On Kelly Martinez…

“I am really happy for Kelly. In her days at Utah, she would hit home runs. She was a force for them offensively. She stepped up today. She saw the ball well today. I am really happy to see Kelly get that big hit for us.”

On Kelbi Fortenberry’s two-out RBI single…

“She did a nice job in that at bat. She had two strikes on her and was able to slap it to left center. Kelbi is a kid that you want up in that situation. It was nice to see us get that second run up, because we needed it.”
