Hometown Heroes: A&M Consolidated

BRYAN, Texas (KBTX) -- The A&M Consolidated Tigers return seven starters on offense and four on defense as they look to keep their postseason streak rolling. The team has a pair of quarterbacks returning who started last year in Caden Fedora and Gage Pahl.

The quarterbacks will have an array of talented receivers to throw to with the return of juniors Devin Price and Brian Darby and senior Steven Ray. The line has two key pieces back, led by senior Reid Francis. “The skill positions will be our strength this season,” said head coach Lee Fedora. “We will need to improve upon our team chemistry and overcoming adversity.” The defense will be anchored by Texas A&M commit Josh Ellison at defensive tackle, Makel Williams at linebacker, and Nate Floyd in the secondary.

Consol is one of the preseason favorites in 10-5A D2, and their first two district games against Huntsville and at Montgomery could go a long way in deciding the eventual champion. District champ or not, the Tigers have enough firepower to make the playoffs yet again and put together a deep run.
