FRISCO, Texas -- The Huntsville football team beat Marshall Saturday night 35-34 in a Class 5A Division II regional semifinal game at the Ford Center at The Star in Frisco. The Hornets will face Fort Bend Marshall in the state quarterfinals next week.
Huntsville rallied from a 21-7 halftime deficit to win the game. Jaden Schroeder had three interceptions in the game. He returned the final interception 30 yards for a touchdown in the fourth quarter that put the Hornets ahead for good.
Marshall scored with 19 seconds left to pull within one, but their pass on a two-point conversion attempt was knocked away the Hornets prevailed.
Huntsville is now 12-1 on the season. Marshall finished the season with a 10-3 record.
