Lady Tigers drop series opener against Georgetown 4-2

BRYAN, Texas (KBTX) -- The Georgetown Lady Eagles scored three runs in the third inning and won their regional quarterfinal series opener over A&M Consolidated 4-2 Thursday night at the Pete Bieniske Jr. Athletic Complex.

After falling behind 3-0, A&M Consolidated got a two run home run from pitcher Mackenzie to cut Georgetown's lead to 3-2.

Lady Eagles will increase their lead in the 5th on an RBI single and hold off a late Consol rally to win the series opener 4-2.

Game 2 will be Friday night at 7 back in Mumford.
