College Station High School Athletic Coordinator Steve Huff announced this afternoon that Chris Litton is being promoted to guide the baseball program.

Litton was an assistant on Scott Holder's staff for the programs first three years of competition.

He was the Cougars pitching coach during their 2014 3A State Championship run and the next season was named the 3A Assistant Coach of the year.

He left College Station High School after the 2015 campaign and has made head coaching stops at Bellville and Livingston over the last four seasons.

Litton left Livingston after this season to rejoin Holder's staff but once Holder left for Prosper that left open the chance to become the Cougars head coach.

"Coach Huff came to me and asked me if I would be interested in it and I went through the interview process extremely excited and hoping that I would be the next head baseball coach because I know the culture, I know the kids and I know the expectations and what it takes to be on top, stay on top in College Station," said Litton.

College Station has made the playoffs every year since the baseball program began competing and Litton plans on continuing that string.
