BRYAN, Texas (KBTX) -- The Magnolia men's and women's cross country teams won the District 19-5A Championships Thursday morning held at the Bryan Municipal Park.
The Magnolia women tallied 23 points and beat second place Magnolia West who had 68 points. College Station came in 3rd place with 75 points, while Brenham finished 4th with 91 points and A&M Consolidated came in 5th with 95 points.
Magnolia West's Peyton McQuillan won the individual district title with a time of 19:08.83.
Grace Wu paced College Station with a 10th place overall finish with a time of 20:08.74. Brenham's top finisher was Madison Coskey who came in 5th overall with a time of 19:59.68. A&M Consolidated's top finisher was Lillian Cloud who came in 7th with a time of 20:08.71.
On the men's side Magnolia won the district title with 34 points, while College Station came in 2nd with 39 points. A&M Consolidated finished 3rd with 64 points. Magnolia West totaled 98 points to finish in 4th place and Brenham rounded out the top 5 with 100 points.
Magnolia's Dylan Sequeira won the individual district title with a time of 16:30.26. College Station's Joseph Benn came in 2nd with a time of 16:31.99. Miles Versaw paced A&M Consolidated with a 7th place finish with a time of 17:17.03. Brenham's top finisher was Karl Yelenic who came in 14th overall with a time of 17:43.39.
Rudder came in 8th in the boys competition and was lead by Kristian Mitchell's time of 18:03.78 which was good enough for 21st place.
