BRYAN, Texas -- Texas A&M's 2012 Heisman Trophy winner Johnny Manziel was in Houston Saturday taking part in the Tristar Collectors Show. Manziel met with the media and was asked if he has any interest in playing in a league like the XFL. Manziel said, "Yeah I have interest in continuing my football career in whatever capacity that is." Manziel added, I think opportunities will present themselves moving forward and we'll look at that and make the decision what is best for my family but at the end of the day I'm 26 years old and sitting here today I want to continue to play and I have a drive and a passion to still play."

The XFL will begin play in February on 2020. The league has eight franchises. Both Houston and Dallas will have teams. June Jones will be Houston's head coach. Manziel played for Jones in the Canadian Football League with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats. Former Oklahoma head coach Bob Stoops will lead the Dallas team.
