COLLEGE STATION- No. 20 Texas A&M looks for a 2-0 start to the season, as the Aggies host Jacksonville, a team that is receiving votes in the USA Today Coaches Poll, in a women’s basketball game 6 p.m. Sunday at Reed Arena.
The game is available for viewing on SEC Network +, which provides events to SEC Network subscribers through WatchESPN and the ESPN app on smartphones, computers, tablets and connected devices (Amazon Fire TV and Fire TV Stick, Apple TV, Chromecast, Roku, Xbox 360 and Xbox One). The game airs on local radio on The Zone 1150 AM, with Bret Dark and Steve Miller on the call.
In celebration of Veterans Day, two free tickets are available for veterans in advance and at the ticket window on game day. It is the first Take A Kid to the Game of the season, where one full-price adult ticket, purchased in-person on game day, allows for up to four kids into the game for free. Fans who attend the Aggie Volleyball game earlier Saturday against Ole Miss are encouraged to stay for the women’s basketball game, using their volleyball ticket as general admission.
The Aggies (1-0) are coming off of a 65-54 win over Rice in the season-opener. Chennedy Carter led the Aggies with 22 points in the lid-lifter, and was joined in double-figures by Aaliyah Wilson (18) and Kayla Wells (16). With a win against Jacksonville in the programs’ first-ever meeting, Texas A&M would start 2-0 for the sixth straight season.
Jacksonville (1-0) is looking for its fourth-straight 20+ win season and postseason appearance in 2019. Jasmun Brown led the Dolphins in their 73-39 season-opening win over Webber International, scoring a game-high 20 points.
After Sunday’s contest, the Aggies head to New York, taking on No. 18 Syracuse in a neutral-site game in White Plains on November 14 with coverage on ACC Network Extra.
