No. 20 Texas A&M women’s basketball opens its 2018-19 season with an exhibition matchup with Oklahoma City, winners of four NAIA National Championships since 2012, Friday, November 2 at 6:30 p.m. The Aggies are looking for their 11th straight exhibition win, and their seventh exhibition win against Oklahoma City in that span. Admission to the game is free.

The Aggies are one of 15 schools with three McDonald's All-Americans on the roster for 2018-19, including Chennedy Carter, the 2017-18 unanimous National Freshman of the Year, Ciera Johnson and Aaliyah Wilson. Last season, the Aggies went 26-10, and reached the NCAA Sweet 16, dropping a 90-84 contest against eventual national champion Notre Dame. Texas A&M is searching for its 14th straight NCAA Tournament appearance in 2018-19.

Oklahoma City checks in at No. 10 in the preseason NAIA Division I women’s basketball rankings, marking their 246th straight appearance in the poll, the longest active streak in NAIA. The Stars won their 12th Sooner Athletic Conference Tournament title in the 2017-2018 season with a 28-6 record.

In last season’s exhibition, the Aggies defeated Oklahoma City 86-35.

After this game, the Aggies begin the regular season by hosting Rice on Wednesday, November 7 at 6 p.m., for the Maroon Madness Tip-Off.
