The Navasota Rattler girl's varsity basketball team jumped out to a 9-0 lead on Rice Consolidated Friday night and never looked back defeating the Raiders 52-15. The win extends the Rattlers winning streak to 4 games as they improve to 7-10 overall.
Eight Navasota players got into the action scoring led by senior Destiny Patterson with nine. Sha'Dimon King and Kel'neisha Moore each chipped in eight while Cookie Leigh and Jakayla Jones added seven points. Shanquishia Curley had five while both Tynasia Mock and Savannah Stringfellow added four points each. Stringfellow had six assists.
The junior varsity also won big beating the Lady Raiders 46-9. Xi Whitely paced all the scorers with 15. Taniyah warren and Breashia Burrell added eight while Mikayla Collins had six points.
All three girls teams will be back in action next Tuesday when they host Sealy. The freshman game tips off at 4:30 followed by the JV at 5:45 and the varsity at 7:00 .
