BRYAN, Tex. (KBTX) - The Florida Gators are coming off of a 10-3 season and entering year three under head coach Dan Mullen.
The Gators finished the 2018 season on a four game win streak, including a 41-15 win over Michigan in the Peach Bowl.
Quarterback Felipe Franks is entering his junior season. Last year, Franks threw for 2,4557 yards, 24 touchdowns, and six interceptions. He also rushed for 350 yards and seven touchdowns.
Franks will have some weapons around him in running backs Lamical Perine and Damoen Pierce as well as a veteran receiving core. They will be replacing four starters on the offensive line.
On defense the Gators return seven starters and defensive coordinator Todd Grantham will also return after turning down a job with the Cincinnati Bengals.
Florida opens the college football season against August 24th against Miami.
