BRYAN - The Arkansas football team is looking to bounce back from a 2-10 season in year one of the Chad Morris era. The Razorbacks went 0-8 in SEC play.
Heading into the 2019 season Arkansas has a pair of transfer quarterbacks battling for the starting job. The battle is between Texas A&M transfer Nick Starkel and SMU transfer Ben Hicks.
Defensively the Razorbacks are looking to make plays and improve on takeaways under second year defensive coordinator John Chavis. Arkansas was last in the SEC a year ago in turnover margin at minus 10.
Arkansas will open the season August 31st at home against Portland State. The Razorbacks will face Texas A&M in the Southwest Classic September 28 at AT&T in Stadium in Arlington.
