COLLEGE STATION, Texas – Texas A&M women’s tennis hosts TCU and Prairie View A&M for a Monday double header at the George P. Mitchell Tennis Center. The Aggies showdown against the Horned Frogs at noon (CT) and oppose the Panthers at 4 p.m. (CT).
The Maroon & White return to the courts after sweeping a double header against UNLV and Lamar on Friday. The Aggies posted 6-1 wins in both matches after improving to 13-0 in doubles matches this spring. The Aggies have posted a 31-2 singles record in dual matches as Jayci Goldsmith, Riley McQuaid and Katya Townsend are each sporting a nine-match win streak. Dorthea Faa-Hviding, Tatiana Makarova and Lucia Quitero are undefeated in dual matches.
“Tomorrow will be another challenging day for us,” Texas A&M women’s tennis head coach Mark Weaver said. “We always have battles with TCU and I expect nothing less than another tight match with the Horned Frogs. Add in another layer of difficulty that it will be a double header with Prairie View A&M to follow. The team is relishing the competition aspect of it all and I couldn’t be happier with how we are approaching each match on our schedule.”
