Texas A&M heads to Vanderbilt for Thursday contest

NASHVILLE, Tenn.- Texas A&M heads to Memorial Gym at 7 p.m. Thursday, January 10 to take on Vanderbilt in a women’s basketball game.

The game is broadcast on SEC Network +, available for SEC Network subscribers through WatchESPN and the ESPN app on smartphones, computers, tablets and connected devices (Amazon Fire TV and Fire TV Stick, Apple TV, Chromecast, Roku, Xbox 360 and Xbox One). No player on the roster has lost to Vanderbilt in their A&M career, as the Aggies (11-4, 0-2 SEC) are looking for their fourth straight win over the Commodores. Ciera Johnson enters play with four straight games of 10+ points, averaging 14.3 points and 12.3 rebounds in that span. Chennedy Carter, the NCAA’s active leader in points per game, needs one more 20+ point game to tie Courtney Walker’s school-record 23 games of at least 20 points.

Vanderbilt (5-10, 0-2 SEC) enters the game having played a schedule that featured four AP Top 25 opponents—all of which have come away-from-home. Mariella Fasoula leads the Commodores with 17.5 points per game, with Cierra Walker adding 11.7 points and Chelsie Hall, who has battled injury all season, averaging 10.9 per game.

Texas A&M’s next game is against Alabama on Sunday, January 13 at 1 p.m., the Aggies’ lone home game from Jan. 6-24.
