Texas A&M nominated for three ESPYS

COLLEGE STATION, Texas – Texas A&M athletics earned nominations for a trio of ESPYS, announced Wednesday by ESPN. Texas A&M football’s historic victory over No. 8 LSU is nominated for Best Game while Texas A&M Track & Field’s Infinite Tucker is among the nominees for Best Play and Best Viral Sports Moment.

A&M football outlasted the Tigers in seven overtimes to conclude the 2018 regular season in the highest scoring game in FBS history. The other two games in the Best Game category are the LA Rams vs Kansas City Chiefs Monday Night Football showdown and the Notre Dame vs. UConn Final Four classic.

Tucker’s all-out effort to claim the 2019 SEC Championship in the 400-meter hurdles is one of the 16 nominees for Best Play, finalists are determined via an online bracket, and one of four nominees for the Best Viral Sports Moment. Joining Tucker in the Best Viral Sports Moment category are Rudolph “Blaze” Ingram, Katelyn Ohashi of UCLA gymnastics and Sister Mary Jo’s curveball.
