INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Former Texas A&M All-American Sydney Pickrem placed second in the 200 IM at the 2019 FINA Champions Series, an invitation-only event that gathers the top athletes in the sport, at the Indiana University Natatorium over the weekend.
On the second night of the 2019 FINA Champions Series, Pickrem represented Canada, lowering her own national record in the 200 IM. She finished with a time of 2:08.61, with splits of 28.17, 32.65, 37.08, 30.71. Her combined times and milestone finish wiped away her previous best of 2:08.71 from April of this year.
Pickrem, an 11-time All-American, finished her career this past season and holds Texas A&M’s school records in the 200 IM, 400 IM, and 800 free relay.
