Three Brazos Valley defenders on 1st-team 5A TSWA All-State team

BRYAN, Texas (AP) - Mission Veterans Memorial's quarterback Landry Gilpin and Dallas Highland Park defensive linemen Prince Dorbah are the players of the year on the Texas Sports Writers Association's Class 5A All-State Football Team.

Gilpin, who was Mr. Texas Football, threw for 4,544 yards and 50 touchdowns. He also rushed for 2,112 yards and 32 touchdowns. Dorbah, who was only a junior, had 86 tackles, 21 of them sacks in leading the Scots to the Division I state title at 16-0.
