How Can I Help the West, TX Victims?

For those wanting to donate to the victims of the explosion in West, TX.

The Brazos Valley Media Giving Back fund has been reinstated for those wishing to help locally. Online donations are now accepted via credit card.

The Downtown Bryan Association in partnership with the City of Bryan, the Bryan Fire Department and the Bryan Police Department invites everyone to join us for a benefit concert for the town of West, Texas.
The event will take place on Sunday, May 5th, from noon-7pm in the Palace Theater in Downtown Bryan.

The hearts of our community are with the citizens, families, and victims of West. In light of the tragedy that they have suffered, we are compelled to come together and raise funds to assist them in rebuilding & restoring West to the town we all know and love.

“Fest for West” will be an all day crawfish boil and music festival located in Downtown at the Palace Theater on Cinco De Mayo, 2013. All proceeds will go to benefit the people of West, Texas. Music lineup & ticket sales information will be released soon.

Aggieland Outfitters is now accepting cash donations at store locations on George Bush Drive and University Drive. All donations will go towards the purchase of more supplies, according to the store.

The business has also set up a number to text for information about volunteering. By texting "HELPWEST" to 99000, Aggieland Outfitters will provide information as it becomes available. They add that the list will be deleted when relief efforts have ended and information of those who text in will not be kept for marketing purposes.


Robertson County News will also be assisting in the relief efforts.

They are collecting needed items at their office located at 120 W. Third St. in downtown Hearne.

They are requesting:

• Canned Food

• Water

• Clothing

• Bedding

• Stuffed toys for the kids


The Madison County Chamber of Commerce & KMVL Radio Station in Madisonville are the two designated locations in Madison County for anyone who wants to donate Clothing, Non-Perishable Foods, Diapers, Baby Food, Gift Cards, Toiletries, and Blankets.

Both Peas & Tots and Smarty Pants consignment stores in Waco are accepting clothing donations in all sizes for those in West.

ESPN 1660 AM is taking donations at their Bagby Ave., Waco location

KBTX Media, The Eagle and WTAW/Candy 95 are collecting funds for people affected by Wednesday night's fertilizer plant explosion in West. An account has been set up by Brazos Valley Media Giving Back so that donations can be made at any of the The Bank and Trust locations or online with a credit card via PayPal.

On Wednesday, April 24, Wingstop locations in Waco will donate 10 percent of sales to Red Cross to benefit those affected by last week’s tragic events in West. Donations will be accepted from 11 a.m. to midnight on Wednesday. The Waco Wingstop restaurants are located at:
