College Station remains ranked #2 in Class 5A Division I. Huntsville dropped to #8 in Class 5A Division II. Franklin remains the top-ranked team in Class 3A Division II. Burton moves into the rankings at #9 in Class 2A Division II, and Calvert stays at #4 in Class 1A Division II.
The Hearne Eagles snapped a 2 game losing streak with a 33-0 win over Snook Friday night at Bluejay Stadium. Eagle junior quarterback Keyshawn Langham scored a pair of first-half touchdowns as they built a 20-0 second-quarter lead.
Lee Fedora and his A&M Consolidated Tigers will look to wrap up the non-district portion of their schedule tomorrow night with a victory against Wills. After a pair of wins at home to kick off the season, the Tigers beat Converse Judson on the road last Friday 28-14.
The College Station Cougars won their District 8-5A Division I opener last week beating defending league champion Magnolia 38-10 avenging their only district loss a year ago. Standing between the Cougars and a 2-0 district start is the New Caney Spartans. A year ago the Cougars were able to beat the ball control Spartans 24-14. Kickoff is set for 7 pm on Friday night from Randall Reed Stadium in New Caney.

Yegua returns home for their home opener hosting the Leon Cougars., both teams 1-1 tonight. Where the first quarter was a rough defensive battle but things really picked up in the second quarter. The game was tied 14 - 14 going into the half. In the end Leon came out on top tonight to win it 38 - 30.
Especially in Six-Man football it doesn’t really matter if you don’t score first and get behind, because there is usually a ton of points scored in a game, so if you get on a roll you can usually win. That was the case Thursday night as the St. Joseph Eagles beat Allen Academy 90-68.
After a pair of lopsided wins that saw A&M Consolidated outscored their opponents 130 to 14, Lee Fedora and his Tigers know they will be in for a much bigger challenge on Friday night as they head to San Marcos to take on Converse Judson at Bobcat Stadium.
After not meeting last season, the two teams renewed their century-old rivalry which began 104 years ago. Although both squads scored an early touchdown, it didn’t take long for the Lions to run away with the game soon thereafter.
