The Bryan Viking Football team will close out the regular season Friday night at Leo Buckley Stadium in Killeen. Bryan (4-2, 5-2) enter the game against Ellison (1-5, 2-7) in a tie for second place in District 12-6A.
The Normangee Panthers beat Carlisle 27-21 in the Area Round of the Class 2A Division I playoffs Friday night at Panther Stadium to keep not only their undefeated season in tact, but also their dream of a state championship.
Dave Campbell’s Texas Football magazine and TexasFootball.com released their high school rankings after Week 12 (last week’s rankings in Class 4A and below were final). Huntsville is the only Brazos Valley team ranked (#4). A&M Consolidated dropped from the rankings for the first time this season.
The College Station Cougars will travel to Cleveland on Friday night to take on the Indians. The Cougars are coming off the convincing 45-21 win over Lufkin last week. It was the Cougar’s first victory ever against the Panthers. College Station has won 3 in a row and is in third place in District 8-5A Division I.

Huntsville is ranked 4th, Consol stayed at 10, Franklin is 6th, undefeated Normangee moved up to 8, Hearne made the rankings for the first time this year at 10, and Calvert is 7.
The A&M Consolidated Tiger football team will host Lake Creek Friday night in their 2020 Homecoming game. The Lions (2-0, 5-1) have won 4 in a row and are tied with Huntsville and Montgomery as the only unbeaten teams in District 10-5A Division II.
